End of March...on to April

It was a crazy busy week last week as I prepared for Wade's 44th birthday celebration.   Every other year we like to do something a little more special...go that extra step, well this year I did for sure.   I planned a surprise party for him on Friday the 1st his actual birthday.   All week I was trying to be as sneaky as possible and finish up all the last minute details.   It was at Q's on Main Street and it was great!!  So great that I forgot to take pictures of anything!!  I mean are you kidding me..I always have my camera on my hip!   So mad as I was so impressed with my dessert table I put together.   I had a huge wooden W that I covered with cupcakes....it actually was standing upright!  I was going for the TLC's DC Cupcake effect!  Anyway he was so surprised and it was a great night!   Hopefully I can find someone that took some pictures so I can post something....

Lizzie had a great week too!    As I went to pick her up on Tuesday or Wed last week (can't remember which day) this smiling face came walking out to the car....

She had that little white thing around her neck...wearing it so proudly as she had gotten the "Good Student Award" for the day!!!

She also won an award at school!!!   Each quarter they pick out 5 students in each class that represent P.R.I.D.E ~ She got the D for Determination

She also started her softball!!  Wow what a year makes!!!  She did great!!

Need to get my butt back on the game for with blogging...totally slacking!!

The hubs is away....catching up on sleep :)

And this is what Bella and I do...we have had not much going on....so we like to catch up on our sleep :)  Daddy has been at a work conference since Wednesday and Lizzie has been with Mike b/c their wedding was today....so they have been doin

Daddy has been at a work conference since Wednesday and Lizzie has been with Mike b/c their wedding was today....so they have been doing all of their fun events.   Today I went over to her Grandma Brenda's and fixed her hair up all nice for the wedding!  Too bad is was SNOWING today so hoping it actually stayed curled was pretty much a lost cause...but I doused her with hairspray.  To the point that I could barely breathe!  She was so excited to be a part of his big day.   And she was just beautiful!! This is the first wedding she has been in..so to see her all dressed up in that fancy dress was equally fun for me!    Maybe one day her uncles will settle down so she can be in another one before she turns 20!  

And of course I have been baking my tail off...each night for a few hours after work and then again early in the morning for a few hours.   One day I will open my dream shop...right on Main Street in St. Charles.   I am stating it now at 7:23pm on Friday, March 25th.   One day....a girl can always dream right :)

These cinnamon rolls are about the ONLY thing that all the girls absolutly love in the morning...Grace is taking down about 3 -4 each time, Ava loves to dip hers in milk, and I am just glad Lizzie likes them (she is usually only a rice krispies girl in the am)

Oh yeah Mom loves to put this little one in all sorts of goofy hats!   Of course they stay on for about 1 minute before she realizes that they are on...but doesn't this goofy thing look like one of the hats from the show Blossom??

Happy St. Patty's Day 2011

My new favorite thing....

I am newly addicted to Antitquing and Flea Markets...wow there is just so much fun stuff there to buy and then turn around and turn it into a new work of art :)  St. Charles has some really good ones down on Main Street (love that area!)   The hubs just loves when I return and he just doesn't quite understand why I walk through the door with a old rickety window.  I ensure him that I have a plan....and afterwards he loves!!  

I love this because it is hanging right on the wall I walk through each evening out of the garage and it is the first thing I get to see :)  I reminds me that no matter what Family is so important - and even though it is inevitable that there will be joys and trials faced...just being together makes your family circle even stronger.  

These were taking the day after Christmas at my mom's house...it was so pretty with the freshly fallen snow....

Holy Snow...

Ok I am to the point where I have had enough of this snow...whew...today's dumping of snow was a little unexpected to say the least.  Considering it was 60 degrees on Saturday...oh that's St. Louis weather for you!!  

It was pretty though..on my way in to work this morning..there is this one road that just has all sorts of trees everywhere and the snow just sits so perfectly on that little stretch.

Lizzie on the other hand was non too impressed with the snow.  As we were driving to school this morning the phone ran with the typical 636-250-xxxx number that I know by heart at this point (considering her school district has been off 10 times I think this year)   They are actually supposed to be on spring break this week, but nope that was cancelled and they are making up snow days this week.  They do however get off on Friday.   Well anyway she was supposed to be going to Fancy Nancy play for a field trip and once she heard that phone ring...the tears started flowing.  Ugh it was so sweet that she loves going to school that much....BUT mother nature took her best bet on these country roads out here and #10 it was.  

Ava had a school project that we completed tonight...Idaho was her state and she was in charge of making a poster with some important facts.  All I have to say is wow the internet is amazing for kids!  God I remember those sick Encyclopedias with the GOLD pages that sat on our built in shelves over at the house I grew up in.
WOW how much has changed since those days.

Happy 10 Months Old Bella!!

Today my Bella is 10 months old!!   What a great Friday!!!

This is how we started the morning...Bella was soaked after a long night and so Daddy went to go change her...he thought she needed to "Air out" so out she came fully nakey!  So we let her "dry out" and she had a blast with no clothes on :)

She will kill me one day for this...but it is just priceless I think

A night out...

Wade and I don't get to get out like we used to since little Miss Bella has come around..but last weekend we had a friend's wedding and we were so excited to give Grandma Cookie and Aunt Candi some good Bella time as they watched her overnight.  

It was such a fun time...beautiful wedding!!

Love those nights out...although it sure doesn't get to happen as often anymore they still are a great time!!  Lots of dancing :)
